Heavy rains are moving into Southeastern Alaska.  An atmospheric river from the tropics also known as Pineapple Express will cause about 6 to 9 hours of rain and anywhere where from 2 to 10 inches of heavy precipitation. Gales will form in the inner channels  with 40 to 50 mph wind gusts. The seas are going to get rough for you fishermen and crab trappers. Be prepared for rough seas and rough conditions. We will keep a close eye on this system because it will be the same system to bring much-needed rain and cooler Fall temperatures to the Southern Plains the end of this weekend. Please stay tuned for any changes on this system………….~Nicholas
