Major Flooding In Upper Midwest & More Rain Coming

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

There is some major flooding going on in IA, WI, and MN. The system that came through last night caused a huge mess in the corn belt by dumping copious amounts of rain on the same area. Marble Rock, Iowa has received up to a foot of rain with rivers over flowing their banks in the Mississippi River.

The main issue is the fact that it’s hitting a large agricultural area that produces most of America’s corn. Farmers said they needed the rain but not this much.

Our weather team is watching another system moving West from the Rockies that will go over the same area again this weekend. So from tonight through the weekend expect more rain to add to the flooding problems. The long-range models are showing rain for the next two weeks. We will keep an eye on it. Stay tuned…….~Nicholas.
